How to serve:
Serve coffee freshly brewed. If reheated, it will lose its aroma and flavor. To
keep coffee warm, use a thermos.
Give preference to china, porcelain, glass or clay cups over aluminum, since these usually give off metal or rust particles that affect the flavor.
Preparation Alternatives
1. Coffee Maker:
Coffee makers are an excellent way to prepare a solid beverage. Water temperature and brewing time are automatically preset, resulting in an optimum infusion.
Before brewing coffee, be sure to read the coffee maker user manual, since each model has different features and functions.
It is also important to wash coffee makers regularly using alcohol vinegar, since water leaves a scale residue in the heating element, thus causing a decrease in the quality of the infusion. It is best if this descaling is performed once every 3 months, being careful to wash the element with vinegar twice and rinse it at least 3 times with fresh water.
2. Filter Paper:
Moisten filter paper before placing it on brew basket.
Place filter paper on filter cone and put it on your cup, mug or glass.
Add coffee measures to filter paper, one teaspoonful per person.
For better results, first pour a splash of water into the coffee and, after a few seconds, pour the rest of the water, according to the amount of cups to prepare.
It is not advisable to make circular movements with the water.
3. Filter Cloth:
Filter cloths are designed to brew up to half a liter (17 fl oz) of coffee. To do this, add 2 tablespoonfuls of coffee to the filter.
It is very important to wash this type of filter with hot water, not with dishwashing detergent or other liquid cleanser because it may affect the flavor of the beverage.
The useful life of these filters is of approximately 50 uses. After this period of time, they should be replaced by new filters.
